BRIEF HISTORY OF AIR FORCE SCHOOL GANDHINAGAR:-
Air Force School Gandhinagar came into existence in 1974 under 258 SU Air Force in Air Force Station, Sector-9 to bring good education and culture within the financial reach of the personnel of the IAF, their children and families. Initially, the school started only with the nursery wing. The administration of the school was taken over by HQ SWAC (U) AF with effect from November 1998.
From Academic Session 2003-04, the school was upgraded to a Primary School vide Reg No. PS/78/SWAC/2003 by IAF Educational & Cultural Society, New Delhi. Later in 2019, the school started Class VI and got upgraded to Middle School level vide Reg No. MS/78/SWAC/2019. Presently the school caters education of children from LKG to Class VIII.
Since its inception, various measures have been adopted to provide conducive teaching and learning atmosphere to the teachers and students. Over the years, there has been a sustained endeavour to strive for all-round development which resulted in achieving several awards and recognition among the schools governed by IAF Educational & Cultural Society, New Delhi.

In its pursuit of excellence, the institution has a well-qualified, experienced and dedicated body of teaching staff. The strength of the class is kept low so as to give individual attention to each student and build up a personal rapport with them.
